Aglaia (“we”, “us”) provides an AI virtual try-on app for Shopify stores. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to merchants and their shoppers. By installing or using Aglaia, you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

• Store information. When a merchant installs the app we receive store details and access tokens provided by Shopify, and the product information needed to generate try-on images.
• Shopper photos. When a shopper chooses to try a product on, they upload a photo of themselves. This photo is used solely to generate that try-on image. Shoppers are not required to create an account to use the feature.
• Usage data. We record non-identifying usage events (for example, the number of try-ons and completion rates) so merchants can see how the feature performs.

How shopper photos and AI processing work

To create a try-on, the shopper’s photo and the merchant’s product images are sent to a third-party AI image provider (Google) for processing. The generated image is returned to the storefront and stored so it can be shown in the merchant’s admin. Photos are used only to produce the try-on result; we do not sell them and we do not use them to train AI models.

How we use information

• To generate and display virtual try-on images.
• To operate, secure, and improve the app.
• To provide merchants with usage analytics.
• To respond to support requests.

Sharing

We share information only with service providers that help us operate the app — including Shopify (the platform), our hosting and database providers, and the AI image provider described above — and only as needed to deliver the service. We may disclose information if required by law.

Data retention

We retain generated try-on images and related usage data for as long as the app is installed, unless a merchant requests deletion. Merchants may request deletion of their store’s data at any time using the contact below, and data associated with a store is removed after the app is uninstalled in line with Shopify’s requirements.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect information in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and limit access to it.

Your choices and rights

Shoppers choose whether to upload a photo and use the try-on feature. Merchants and shoppers may request access to, or deletion of, their data by contacting us. We will respond in accordance with applicable laws.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
